We are the only sailing school certified by the American Sailing Association (ASA) in Savannah and the surrounding area.
Our certified instructors have spent dozens of years sailing and are passionate about passing that knowledge on to others. The courses are designed to teach you all you need to know about sailing and safety from the beginner level to advanced. Our desire is that you walk away fully prepared for a lifetime of great sailing. The ASA curriculum is easy to follow, recognized worldwide, and most importantly fun!
ASA certification
The ASA certification is recognized worldwide and vouches for your abilities on the water. By the end of each course you’ll be able to comfortably demonstrate both the practical skills and knowledge gained throughout your time with us. Each day of the course includes both time on the water and in the classroom. You’ll learn about sailing terminology, parts and functions, helm commands, sail trim, points of sail, buoyage, seamanship and safety, including navigation rules to avoid collisions and hazards. At the conclusion of the course you will pass an exam to receive your official ASA credentials. You’ll be confident and capable at sailing at your next opportunity!
ASA 101
$595This 2 day course is great for beginners! You'll learn to sail on a 25' keelboat in light to moderate winds. The course covers the knowledge of basic sailing terms, parts, commands, sail trim and safety. Each day includes time in the classroom and plenty of time on the water.
ASA 103
$775This 2 day intermediate course teaches you to skipper a 30' keelboat with an inboard motor in moderate winds and sea conditions. You'll gain knowledge of cruising sailboat terminology, basic boat systems, intermediate sail trim, safety and seamanship. Each day includes time in the classroom and plenty of time on the water.
ASA 104
$995The 3 day bareboat cruising course prepares you to skipper a multi-day cruise upon inland or costal waters in moderate to heavy winds and sea conditions. Students learn about provisioning, boat systems, coastal navigation and advanced sail trim, among other things.
